Thanksgiving Day Potluck

Thursday, Nov 26, 2:00pm - Location: Kua Residence

If you are not going out of town over Thanksgiving Day break, then you should stop by the GCF Thanksgiving Day potluck (Games at 2pm, dinner at 4pm). In addition to enjoying a good meal together, it's also a great opportunity to invite non-GCF friends and colleagues to join us. To make sure that the luck of the pot is fulfilled (and that we have enough food), email Aileen () if you plan to come, along with the number of guests you might bring. Please indicate if you or anyone you have invited has any food restrictions or allergies. If you're not sure of your Thanksgiving plans yet, it's perfectly okay to RSVP as a maybe. It would also be really helpful if you could let Aileen know what you plan to bring. She will plan to make turkey, unless someone else has a strong inclination to make one. Here are some suggestions, but this list is not exhaustive:

• Salad
• Veggies (green beans, squash, etc.)
• Starchy veggies (potatoes, sweet potatoes)
• Other side dishes
• Bread/rolls
• Cranberry sauce/salad
• Stuffing/dressing
• Drinks
• Desserts

GCF Directory

We are currently putting together the 2009-2010 GCF directory. If you would like your name to be included in the GCF directory fill out the signup form. The directory will only be distributed to those who sign up and is a great way to keep in touch with fellow GCFers. Signups will be open until Large Group on Dec 3, and the directory will be emailed out shortly thereafter.

Caroling and Christmas Party

Wednesday, Dec 9, 6:45pm - Location: Patrician Senior Residence

We'll be caroling at the Patrician Senior Residence again this year. This is a wonderful way to bring some Christmas cheer to people who are often very lonely. Singing is optional so feel free to also come and just provide good company. The address is 4025 Pulitzer Place, San Diego, CA 92122. Afterward, we will be going to the Bales' apartment (map) for a Christmas party.

Large group usually occurs every other Thursday at 7:30pm. Coming to our large group is a great way to meet with many people in the GCF community, from all different backgrounds and disciplines. To find out more about large group and directions look at the large group information page.

Small Groups

Small groups usually meet on the weeks that large group doesn't. They allow us as a community to dig deeper into Bible and to study what it says for our lives. To find out more about our small groups, meeting locations, and study topics look at the small group information page.

Prayer Groups

Prayer groups happen on campus throughout the week. These groups are a great way to get connected with other people within your discipline. Prayer includes everything from your department and the people in it, for the campus, personal requests, and anything else. If you would like to join a prayer group, look at the prayer ministry page for contact people.

Men's and Women's Groups

Our Men's and Women's groups generally have activities once or twice a month. Food is often involved. But so are prayer, discussion, and fellowship!
