Graduate Christian Fellowship @ UCSD

Equipping & Encouraging Grad Students to follow Jesus in the academy

Winter Meetings 2023

Who was Jesus?

This winter and spring, we’ll be reading a record of what Jesus said and did attributed to an earlier follower of Jesus named Mark.

Every Thursday, we will meet to read and discuss some of the recorded sayings and actions of Jesus. You can join us in person at 7pm at the Nuevo West picnic area (in the middle of Brisa), or get in contact if you would like to join remotely. There will be snacks!

During the second Thursday of the month, we plan to provide dinner near the Street Corner Market, by the pedestrian bridge to the Mesa Nueva area.

Directions

If you’re living in grad housing (other than Coast), it’s easy to find us! From OMS, walk across Miramar St., toward the gym/grills in the middle of Brisa. From Mesa Nueva/Nuevo East, walk west, past Street Corner market, then toward the bouldering wall, then down the steps toward the picnic tables. From campus, walk across the pedestrian bridge, toward the bouldering wall. If you drive, there is parking available after 5pm in P783.

Welcome to GCF @ UCSD!

We are a group of graduate students, post-docs, and others who gather to learn what it means to follow Jesus in an academic setting. We meet every Thursday at 7pm, in person at UCSD’s grad housing, and we have other events from time to time, including worship, hiking, and game nights. If you can’t join in person, we can send you the link to join meetings on Zoom if you contact us from this website!

Enter your name and email here if you want to be added to our email list and get invited to our various activities. If you want to send us a message, use our contact form.
